“When I am prized, I blossom and expand; I am an interesting individual”
Carl Rogers
As a Person-Centred supervisor, my focus is on you as a person.
I can be client-centred and form-orientated, but only in response to how you would like to work. My focus is on you rather than your theoretical orientation or your clients.
I aim to accompany you while you explore your work in an environment of trust, confidentiality, safety and good humour. I believe professional growth, confidence and joy can be fostered from being fully encountered by a supervisor with whom you relate profoundly.
“Wisdom in Greek was Sophia, as in our word “philosophy”, love of wisdom. Sophia had a most practical meaning, referring originally to the crafts of handling things, especially to the helmsman who steers the boat. The wise one steers well; the wisdom of the helmsman shows in the art of making minor adjustments in accord with accidents of water, wind and weight.”
Hillman (1996), The Soul’s Code: In Search of Character and Calling
